There are a lot of phrases that people use to describe what I do—Web Developer, Web Designer, Web Programmer, Code Monkey. Personally, I don't really like the term Programmer because it conjures up the image of a guy that you lock in the basement and slide pizza and Mountain Dew under the door to produce whatever code you need. If it were up to me, I think I might like to be called an Internet Scientist. But the point is that I build websites for people, and sites like mine do tread into the territory of programming, so I accept the title begrudgingly.

I live in Brooklyn, NY. I'm currently working on my own projects, short-term freelance work, and I occasionally teach at Noble Desktop. Outside of web work, I've played bass in a few bands, previously in Low Lustre for a long time, and a shorter time in The Snails. Sadly, I’m not actively playing in public at the moment.
This site uses a healthy mix of HTML/CSS and JavaScript. jQuery is responsible for everything fun. My goal was elegant awesomeness, hopefully I got close. It is several years old, and like all developers, I can’t wait to redesign and redo it with the latest web magic.
I've worked with a fair number of web hosts over the years and Media Temple is the best I've used. If you're hosting more than one site like me, it's a no-brainer.
